PRISM International
PRISM International is a not-for-profit trade association headquartered in the United States and also serving members through a secretariat in Brussels, Belgium. The association represents more than 600 companies doing business in over 60 countries. PRISM International members operate more than 1,000 information management facilities around the world. Members of PRISM International provide information management outsourcing services for records at various stages of the information lifecycle. These services include: paper records storage, digital records storage on computer media (media vaulting services), online digital records backup services, digital archiving, digital and film-based imaging, confidential destruction services, as well as additional services.
PRISM International members adhere to a code of ethics adopted by the industry. A copy of the code of ethics can be found at the PRISM International website at www.prismintl.org and on various PRISM International publications. The association maintains online resources for the convenience of information managers seeking outsourcing assistance. This includes an online searchable database of PRISM International members, (also available as an annual published resource directory on a free subscription basis), explanations of the benefits of information outsourcing in our downloadable publication “Why Go Offsite,” and a comparison and facility evaluation publication to assist in information outsourcing efforts called “Demand the Best”, which is also available as a free download from the PRISM International website.
PRISM International members invest in improving their professionalism by attending industry conferences and other educational events. PRISM International currently offers annual conferences in the United States, Asia and Europe. Non-members are welcome to attend these conferences, as well.
