The CIO Institute of Australia is the professional association for senior IT executives working to “raise the standing of the profession of CIO”.

Its mission includes lifting standards in the senior IT executive community through Continued Professional Executive Development (CPD) and Certification Programs relevant to the CIO position as well as outreach programs to communicate with Directors, CEOs and other senior executives on behalf of the profession.

The Institute provides senior IT management teams access to ongoing Executive Development to help them align to the needs of their Executive counterparts (and clients), and to better contribute to and provide leadership for greater operational effectiveness and strategic initiatives within their organisations.

Membership of the CIO Institute is open to qualifying senior IT executives from all industries. CPD sessions are open to members and non-members including non-IT executives who wish to gain an insight into leading IT management practices and approaches.
